Out now, a video for P.O.D.‘s cover of The Beatles‘ classic ‘Don’t Let Me Down’, a somewhat apt title as we look for world leaders to get things right and put this planet back on course, with a few less wars and a whole lot less greed.
The new single was released on 5th December, sixty years since the Fab Four’s last live performance in their hometown, when they played the Liverpool Empire Theatre. The release of P.O.D.‘s version is intended to honour The Beatles‘ legacy by “celebrating the music, the milestones, and the timeless influence the Liverpool legends continue to have over generations of musicians and fans”.
The new video for ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ adds P.O.D.‘s notable performance energy. “As cliché as it may sound, we’ve always admired The Beatles from the very beginning of our songwriting journey,” said band guitarist Marcos Curiel. “Their melodies, the hooks, and fearless experimentation inspired us to craft our own take on the classic ‘Don’t Let Me Down’, with nothing but the utmost respect. Thank you for helping lay the foundation of what we all know today as rock ‘n’ roll, pop, and metal.”
The platinum-selling band, featuring Sonny Sandoval, Curiel and bass player Traa Daniels, saw their 11th album, Veritas (released on Mascot Records), become a Top 10 hit across the U.S. Billboard Current Hard Rock and several other charts, while achieving over 71 million total streams.
With a recent tour of South America completed, P.O.D. play Europe next summer, including an appearance at Download Festival in Donington, England, taking place 10th to 14th June 2026.
