€1,000 has been donated to the non-profit charity organisation Metality via proceeds received from In Memory Of, the posthumously released album of former Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di’Anno, released on the German-based record label Metalville Records.
The donation was made official at Metalville‘s offices when a cheque was accepted by representatives of the Cologne/Bonn chapter of Metality. The record label commented: “We believe that donating this money to such a special charity organisation as Metality would have been in line with Paul’s wishes and his big heart for all people who are not always on the sunny side of life.”
Paul Di’Anno was someone who, despite his own health struggles, cared deeply about the wellbeing of others. In that spirit, it was decided that part of the proceeds from every CD and LP sale of In Memory Of would go to the charitable organisation.
In Memory Of gathers a selection of the best songs Di’Anno recorded during his time at Metalville Records and was released on 16th May 2025, the day before the singer would have celebrated his 67th birthday. He passed away on 21st October 2024 at his home in Salisbury.
Tracks featured on the album include: solo track ‘Impaler’ (Live), Architects Of Chaoz tracks ‘Je Suis Charlie’ (previously unreleased), ‘Switched Off’, ‘Rejected’, ‘You’ve Been Kissed By The Wings Of The Angel Of Death’, ‘Apache Falls’, ‘Killers’ (previously unreleased, live), solo tracks ‘The Beast Arises’ (Live), ‘Marshall Lokjaw’ (Live), ‘Running Free’ (Live), ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’ (Live), and the new single ‘Soldier Of Fortune’.
