The musically deviant post-rockers/ambient experimentalists Picture Ann have unleashed a 2-track EP titled Descending Upon Ruins Again. Out now via Floodgate Moods Productions, it’s guaranteed to leave you in either a foul or reflective mood. The overall theme revolves around the notion of failing in every sense of the cursed word, and whereas the track ‘Ruin’ is as raw and lo-fi as they come and akin to a twisted take on blackened doom metal, the ambient suite ‘Descending Again’ is a contemplative yet minimalist piece that may (or may not) offer a subtle sense of solace and a vague glimmer of hope. How strange the world has become of late.
