Klayton is back teaming up alter egos Scandroid and Celldweller for an alternative pop punk single in ‘Waste My Time’ out now via FiXT.
“Scandroid is the project where I explore the sounds of bygone eras”, explained Klayton.
“From artists like The Cure, Depeche Mode and Tears For Fears to bands like Judas Priest, Bad Religion and Social Distortion. I feel like I have unlimited inspiration to capture the sounds that represented some of the best times of my life.
“When writing ‘Waste My Time’ I knew I also wanted to augment the production with screams and aggressive synths and that’s when I knew this would become a self-collaboration with my project Celldweller.”
Thus we get Scandroid X Celldweller.
With a retro future outlook, ‘Waste My Time’ is an upbeat and defiant track about a relationship gone wrong. Complex electronic elements blend with synthesisers and gritty guitars to push an atmosphere full of anxiety and grim determination.
