Progressive symphonic metal band Scardust, who hail from Israel, will soon be performing a first group of dates in what they’re labelling their Souls In The Flesh tour, in celebration of their most recent album Souls, released last summer via Frontier Records.
It has also been revealed that founding member Orr Didi has departed the band, with Bar Sasson now joining on bass as Scardust ready themselves for 2026’s international touring dates. They will be supported on all European and UK dates by a local band in each city and French symphonic metal band Hartlight, acclaimed for their refined orchestration and musicianship via their albums As Above, So Below (2024) and The Triumph of Metal (2025).
That UK date is actually in singular form thus far, due to take place at Underworld in London on 10th March, albeit it looks like Scardust are set to put on a very special evening of entertainment with not only Hartlight supporting but British dark alternative metal band Crimson Veil, and a very special guest in the form of Haken‘s Ross Jennings.
“Souls is a deep personal journey for us,” said the band of their recent album. “Combining everything from intricate progressive elements to sweeping symphonic passages, anthemic choruses and epic choirs. This album is a milestone for the band. It contains the Scardust DNA while experimenting with different writing and composing methods, involving every single musician in the band, resulting in the creation of the next evolution of our sound and pushing the boundaries of what we can express through music.”
“Thematically we’ve explored ideas of memory, belonging, loss, and the desire for connection, weaving in influences from different musical worlds, including orchestral, Mediterranean, and even Celtic sounds,” they added.
The first five years of the band’s existence saw their debut EP Shadow (2015) position them as a promising newcomer, while the release of their first full length LP Sands Of Time (2017) cemented them as one of the leading progressive metal bands in Israel. Rising to the top of the local metal scene, selling out shows and opening for the likes of Symphony X, Therion and Epica, they soon started touring overseas, playing festivals and headline shows in Germany, China and the UK, as well as continuing to headline at home and releasing further albums.
Following the release of Souls in 2025, Scardust singer Noa Gruman became the featured lead singer and conductor of The Legendary Orchestra on Sabaton‘s large-scale European arena Legendary Tour, performing reimagined versions of that power metal band’s music with orchestral and choral arrangements.
Tracks featured on Souls are: ‘Long Forgotten Song‘, ‘My Haven‘, ‘RIP‘, ‘Dazzling Darkness‘, ‘Unreachable‘ (feat. TLV Orchestra), ‘End Of The World‘, ‘Searing Echoes‘ (feat. Ally Storch), ‘Touch Of Life I – In Your Eyes‘ (feat. Ross Jennings), ‘Touch Of Life II – Dance Of Creation‘ and ‘Touch Of Life III – King Of Insanity‘ (feat. Ross Jennings).
