Scooter Confirmed for Download Festival 2026 Avalanche Stage

Scooter are finally coming to Download Festival, and honestly? It’s about bloody time.

After years of fans flooding comment sections and bellowing requests across Donington Park, the German techno legends have been confirmed as Avalanche Stage headliners for Download 2026, taking place from 10th to 14th June.

Yes, you read that right. Scooter. At Download.

Look, we know what you’re thinking. A techno act headlining a stage at the spiritual home of rock? But here’s the thing: Scooter have always existed in that glorious space where genres blur and nobody cares because everyone’s having too much fun. Thirty years, over 30 million records sold, and more than 1000 sold out shows worldwide. These aren’t numbers you argue with.

Frontman H.P. Baxxter and the lads have carved out genuine cult status across Europe and Australia, and tracks like ‘Hyper Hyper’, ‘How Much Is The Fish?’ and their reworking of Supertramp’s ‘The Logical Song’ have become festival anthems in their own right. Throw in newer bangers like ‘For Those About To Rave’ and you’ve got a setlist that’ll have the Avalanche crowd absolutely losing it.

They join a lineup already stacked with Limp Bizkit, Guns N’ Roses, and Linkin Park topping the bill, alongside Electric Callboy, Pendulum, Trivium, Bad Omens, Halestorm, BABYMETAL, Ice Nine Kills, Tom Morello, and plenty more.

Is it unconventional? Absolutely. Is it exactly the kind of chaos Download thrives on? Without question.

Sometimes the best additions to a rock festival lineup are the ones that make you do a double take.
