Seven Spires Hit The Road

American symphonic metal band Seven Spires celebrate the five year anniversary of their Emerald Seas album with a rerecorded version of ‘The Road’, that’s accompanied by a music video.

‘The Road’ was a very fun and special song that was originally the exclusive bonus track for the Japanese release of our second album, Emerald Seas, the band reflected. “It’s hard to believe it, but now, for the album’s five-year anniversary, we wanted to give a facelift and update to this track and release it for the rest of the world to enjoy.

“Aside from a couple of orchestral and keyboard parts, this version of ‘The Road’ is entirely rerecorded, remixed, and remastered, including Dylan Gowan’s fantastic drumming for the first time on a recorded Seven Spires song. It’s a fitting one, because Dylan basically jumped in the deep end with our recent show schedule, and as you can see from the accompanying video we put together for the release, it’s been nothing but a blast having him on tour with us!

“It’s a fast-paced, technically-challenging, super uplifting anthem celebrating the shared joy of live metal shows, and we hope you love our new version of ‘The Road’ as much as we loved making it for you.”  Since their inception in 2013 at Berklee College of Music, these best friends have forged their home in the darker corners of the melodic metal world. Known for their penchant for pushing genre limits, they draw influence from across the spectrum of metal and beyond, reaching ravenously into jazz, late romantic-era orchestral music, and cinematic soundscapes.

To support the release of their fourth studio LP, A Fortress Called Home, via Frontiers Music Srl in June last year, Seven Spires toured on three continents: first in Europe as direct support to Skálmöld with Atavistia as first support, then in North America directly supporting Kamelot with Ad Infinitum also featured on the bill.

To end 2024, Seven Spires embarked on their first-ever headlining tour of Japan with Lords Of The Trident. In 2025 the band is slated to perform at Wacken Open Air and Rock in Rautheim in Germany, Leyendas del Rock in Spain, and Legions of Metal in the United States.
