Ahead of their UK debut at the Bloodstock Festivaland an exclusive London date supporting industrial metal pioneers, Ministry, Los Angeles extreme metal collective Siglos has issued a video for their latest single, ‘Piel Fría’.
Taken from their Renacer De Las Cenizas EP released last year, ‘Piel Fría’ dives deep into the duality of light and darkness experienced during an Ayahuasca ceremony, a personal and spiritual encounter that vocalist Pedro Sanchez recounts.
“While there is love and light, it’s equally important to confront and understand your dark side,” he he claimed. “True healing takes courage, to face your inner demons without judgement, and to learn from them. In this particular ceremony, I connected with an entity I call the Cold Ones. They revealed they exist within us, drawn by our frequency, poor choices, and low-vibration actions.”
Directed with stark visual symbolism and steeped in spiritual tension, the video for ‘Piel Fría’ continues the band’s lineage of dark, immersive storytelling. As with their previous releases, ‘El Paso De Mis Ancestros’ and ‘Soga De Los Muertos’, Siglos fuse ritualistic themes with blackened sonic fury.
Founded by two-time Grammy-nominated guitarist Sin Quirin (ex-Ministry, Lords Of Acid, American Head Charge), Siglos also features vocalist Pedro Sanchez (Transtorno), and also featuring guitarist Adrian Villanueva, bassist Juan Pina, and drummer Jorden Mitev.
Siglos has thus far released two EPs, a growing catalogue of acclaimed videos, and endorsements from metal icons including Gary Holt, David Ellefson, and Todd La Torre, Siglos combine black, doom, and industrial metal with a fierce infusion of Mexican and Spanish cultural identity.
They make their UK festival debut at Bloodstock Open Air on Sunday, 10th August, performing on the Sophie Lancaster Stage, followed by an exclusive London show supporting Ministry at Electric Brixton on Monday, 11th August.
