SIIICKBRAIN Drops Fierce New Single ‘Palo Santo’

SIIICKBRAIN is not here to play by anyone’s rules, and new single ‘Palo Santo’ makes that abundantly clear.

Released via NOWHERE Recordings in partnership with Pale Chord/Rise Records BMG, ‘Palo Santo’ arrives hot on the heels of her collaboration with Skrillex on his latest EP, Kora.

Art rave ready with a fashion aesthetic that screams independence, ‘Palo Santo’ is beautifully put together. A driving four on the floor kick drum and snappy percussion form the backbone, while SIIICKBRAIN’s vocals shift from feral and commanding to something sultry and almost angelic on the chorus. It’s that contrast that makes this track so compelling. Fearless confidence one moment, raw vulnerability the next. That cathartic push and pull is what sets her apart.

The accompanying video, directed by Raphaële, matches every bit of that energy. Scenes of pole dancing outside an abandoned warehouse intercut with SIIICKBRAIN prowling around a pickup truck, while high heeled dancers rave on a foggy, dimly lit dance floor. It’s visually striking and captures the unapologetic spirit of the music perfectly.

For those not yet familiar, SIIICKBRAIN is a genre defying artist who blends experimental pop, alternative, hip hop, industrial, and electronic influences into something entirely her own. Her fearless creative approach has led to collaborations with the likes of Skrillex and Willow. Music, fashion, and visual identity all feed into one singular artistic world, and ‘Palo Santo’ is the latest proof that she’s building something special.
