Silverburn’s Pain Body

Having released debut album Self Induced Transcendental Annihilation via MSH Group Music August last year, Silverburn, the new solo project by James ‘Jimbob’ Isaac, has announced tour dates for this coming summer, an appearance at Desertfest in London on 19th May ahead of that, is new single and lyric video ‘Pain Body’.

“‘Pain Body’ is an energetic cleanse, an aural exorcism of toxic spectres. True catharsis and a sonic healing rite,” said Issac, who’s something of a Welsh metal visionary Isaac and known from his previous bands Taint and Hark.

Issac recorded Self Induced Transcendental Annihilation  in 2020, during lockdown in 2020. It’s been said that extreme conditions demand extreme responses, and  the album began as an elemental response to the almighty global gut-punch that surrounded its creation. Issac handled all vocals, guitar, bass and drums himself. The result some have stated as a “meticulously crafted a wholly uncompromising solo offering in the truest sense”.

From the world-ending double-kick maelstrom of opening track ‘Annihilation to the cinematic, discordant chug and release of Etheric Crush the album draws from Isaac’s beloved eras of 90s metal and new millenniums metallic hardcore, noise-core, space and sludge metal and bands like Botch, Mastodon, Knut, Converge, Keelhaul, Crowbar, Sepultura, Neurosis and Helmet.

Now following shows with Crowbar and a slot at ArcTanGent festival, Silverburn, as a band, will perform at Desertfest London on 19th May and tour the UK in June this year with High On Fire.

Issac commented: “Silverburn are pumped for this tour. I’ve made artwork for High On Fire in the past, and have known Jeff (Matz) for many years. These will be some intense shows, so prepare for maximum pummel”.
