Change Persona are gearing up for what could be their breakthrough year. The South London and Surrey punk rockers are heading into Floodgate Audio this September to record their upcoming mini-album.
If you caught them tearing up the Takeover Stage at Download Festival 2025, you’ll know these four have serious live chops. That slot came off the back of ‘Perfect Fake World,’ which landed them BBC Radio play and put them firmly on the radar. Now they’re doubling down with the same producer, Meyrick De La Fosse, whose credits include Sleep Token, Slaughter To Prevail and Hacktivist. Not bad company to keep.
The band wear their influences openly. Think Green Day‘s hooks, Rise Against‘s urgency and Foo Fighters‘ stadium sized energy all crammed into a sweaty club show. They’ve been grinding the circuit for years, from winning the Great British Alternative Festival Introducing Stage in 2022 to headlining the 100 Club.
“2026 is lined up to be a huge year for us,” the band say. “We’re a completely independent DIY band. We always ensure our live shows are high energy and that will ramp up even more once we start gigging our new material.”
Before the new tracks drop, they’ve got support slots with punk legends Menace in December and 999 next year.
For a band doing everything themselves, from writing to designing their own artwork, Change Persona are proof that the DIY ethos still has teeth. Check their show dates and see what the fuss is about.
“We’d love for RAMzine readers to check us out, so please do give us a listen on Spotify or come along to a show and say hi!“ says Change Persona.
