Los Angeles rockers Stitched Up Heart have released their new single ‘Cannibal’ featuring Heidi Shepherd of Butcher Babies, out now via Judge & Jury Records with an accompanying music video.
The track is a fierce collaboration between two powerhouse women in modern heavy music. Vocalist Alecia ‘Mixi’ Demner and Shepherd deliver a vocal performance that celebrates strength, attitude, and the unapologetic presence of women in rock and metal.
Mixi shared the story behind the collaboration: she was at Butcher Babies’ very first show, crammed on the stairs of a dive bar on the Sunset Strip, when Heidi hurled a wrecked Barbie into the crowd. Mixi caught it. Years later, they’re still cheering each other on, and ‘Cannibal’ marks the moment they finally got to scream together on a track.
The single is the latest taste of what’s to come from the band’s fourth album Medusa, due out on 12th June. Stitched Up Heart are currently on tour with Sebastian Bach and will head out with Infected Rain this summer.
