Stone Broken begin a new chapter in their rock career, in announcing a new label deal with rock independent 7Hz Productions (ADA), plus a significant Saturday night headline slot at the Planet Rock Winters End Festival, on 3rd February 2024. The Walsall band, who launched back in 2016, with support from Planet Rock radio, have now come full circle and are said to be thrilled to perform this headline show that will see them return with brand new material and new album due in 2024.
The last few years have been incredibly difficult for Stone Broken but we are back and re-energised, clear of a difficult label relationship and writing great new material which will be ready for 2024 so there is nowhere we’d rather launch this next phase of our career than headlining the awesome Planet Rock Winters End festival!” said lead singer Rich Moss. “ We can’t wait to get back on that stage again!”.
Stone Broken’s self-released debut album All In Time, eventually amassing over 10 million YouTube views and is currently just shy of 9.5 million Spotify streams. Two further albums Ain’t Always Easy and Revelation were then released by Spinefarm Records in what proved to be “a very fractious and commercially frustrating relationship”.
Now free of that, the band is said to have discovered a new-found liberation and together with their management company JABA Music, and have inked a joint venture with independent rock label 7Hz (ADA), that will see singles and a brand-new album being released in the UK and internationally in 2024.
“We started our career back in 2016 with a successful self-released album and then got into a relationship with Spinefarm that just didn’t work out. Together with our management, we’ve decided to take back control to run the campaign we believe is best for us and our fans,” said drummer Robyn Haycock.
“It has been a very frustrating last few years but we’re all that bit wiser now! We just want our fans to know that we are pumped, we are back and will be releasing our best new music very soon! To the Broken Army we say, get ready because we are coming back stronger than ever!!”
7Hz Productions, is an independent rock label and publisher set up by Barry Campbell and former Albert Productions head of A&R, James Cassidy, who steered the recent successful Top 20 debut album releases for Scottish rockers Mason Hill as well as the highly acclaimed and successful Sundowners album for The Answer. With former Earache marketing manager Dan Tobin now joining the 7Hz team as global campaign manager, Stone Broken is said to be “thrilled” to be part of this new venture with a dedicated team of rock specialists.
“I’m very pleased to be providing campaign management to the burgeoning 7Hz label, having worked with many of its acts on previous projects and releases,” said Dan Tobin. “I’ve spent my entire working life helping to break new and developing rock acts so am always excited by the prospect of a new challenge. I look forward to continuing to build an upwards trajectory for fantastic bands like Stone Broken, Mason Hill, and The Answer, all of whom are amazing examples of the rich and vibrant British rock music scene we all love”.
