Out on 17th November is ‘Wild Heart’, a new single from The Answer, through Golden Robot Records/7hz Recordings in support of the band’s November/December UK tour beginning this week.
Following in the vein of previous singles ‘Blood Brother’ and ‘Want You To Love Me’, this track is a dirty, grotesquely hypnotic rock groove that oozes confidence and class, showcasing a band that are in a great new creative trajectory.
After a summer festival blitz including over 12 performances throughout the UK & Europe, The Answer managed to squeeze another recording session in at the end of the summer with producer Dan Weller to record the single.
“We had a fabulous time this summer playing some great festivals and at the end of August we just decided to charge back into the studio to see if we could capture the same vibe as our Sundowners session,” said frontman Cormac Neeson . “It’s been so liberating just going headlong, no holds barred, into the studio knowing that we have tons of material to fall back on, and this is another of those tracks.
Ahead of the single’s release comes the official video, that’s out now and can be viewed here at RAMzine. Directed by British director JJ Eringa, the video delves into a number of retro 70s clips from the daredevil biker era when wild hearted stuntmen risked limb and life to go faster, higher and for longer. The video channels the essence and vibe of the track which is a self proclaimed bit of pure rock ‘n’ roll magic, a dirty, grotesquely awesome and hypnotic groove that oozes confidence and class.
In addition to this, The Answer has announced that for the very first time they will have a female keyboardist join them on their UK November and December shows. Cara Bruns, from Essex, is a pianist and keyboardist who is a huge fan of John Lord and Deep Purple and has toured UK & Europe with groups such as Diva Purple, Surfquake (former New Model Army bassist), songwriter Martin Newell and poet Blake Morrison.
“Finally we’ve take a long awaited ambition to introduce a bit more of a keyboard flavour into our recent material and are thrilled to say that we’ll be bringing Cara Bruns out on the road in November & December as our live session keyboardist!” Neeson remarked. “The set list is going to be something very different to the last tour so we can’t wait to dip into more of the catalogue as well as some of the Sundowners album which we have yet to play live – we can’t wait!”
Special guests on the tour will be Kira Mac.
