London rock band The Survival Code will return with new album Whispers Of Woe for January next year.
Around in various incarnations since 2012, on settling down to a duo with Gary McGuinness on guitar and vocals and Simon Hartop drums and vocals their debut album, Hopelessness Of People was released in 2018, produced by Matt Hyde (Gallows, Ash, Slipknot) who’s continued to work with them since.
Whispers Of Woe is said to explore what it’s like to be human and navigate the challenges and opportunities of the music industry in the digital age as they delve deep into the rollercoaster of a modern age creativity that’s filled with moments of self-doubt, and the constant battle to stay true in a world that often prioritises marketable personas over genuine identity.
The tracks are said to shine a light on modern day artists paths, illuminating the uncertainties and hurdles they face in an ever-evolving, fluid industry that’s often difficult to keep up with. Whispers Of Woe is intended to serve as a reminder to music artists to hold onto their authenticity, persist through challenges, and maintain a positive perspective while addressing personal struggles.
Musically, anthemic guitar-drenched sonics, killer melodic hooks and soaring high voltage with an alternative twist are what you can expect, as evidenced by checking out the video of ‘Digging Your Own Grave’ here at RAMzine.
