Five strong Cambridge (UK)-based rock band ‘The Treatment’ are unashamedly inspired by a bygone era, when vinyl ruled, and rock bands looked and behaved as if they were on the rise.
Combining the drive of Def Leppard with the song-writing ability of UFO and Thin Lizzy, all backed by a kind of low profile riffing reminiscent of early Aerosmith or Guns N’ Roses , The Treatment’s nostalgic rock sounds will tease the dog’s teeth from your dancing shoes, and put a party smile upon your face.
The band will play a special Christmas show at The Underworld in London on Saturday, December 15 – to celebrate what has been an extraordinary year for the musicians.They have shared international stages with the likes of Alice Cooper, Steel Panther & Black Stone Cherry over the past 12 months, and have also successfully issued three foot-stomping singles.
The Treatment have also just confirmed that they will re-release their sensational five-track covers EP, ‘Then & Again’ in the New Year.
This EP, initially limited to only 300 signed copies, (recorded to celebrate Record Store Day, April 21, 2012) was produced by Airrace guitarist / songwriter Laurie Mansworth. (He also produced the band’s debut album, ‘This Might Hurt ‘- issued via Spinefarm in September 2011.)
‘Then & Again’ is a choice selection of mind-blowing rock covers from the 70’s.
Matt Jones, lead singer of The Treatment said “This EP features five tracks originally recorded by some of our favourite artists from the ’70s – the likes of Chris Spedding, Slade & ELO. Needless to say, we’ve tried to give them an up-to-date Treatment twist!”
“Actually, we’ve just been touring with another favourite of ours, Thin Lizzy, and the shows have been a fantastic experience. We’ve already been out with Alice Cooper, Kiss & Mötley Crüe, so we’ve rubbed shoulders with quite a few legends already… and hopefully there’ll be more to come!”
