Torch & The Wages of Sin

Swedish metal act Torch has released their new single ‘Wages Of Sin’ taken from their forthcoming studio album Trail Of The Damned, that the band recently started working on and will be released on the Metalville record label.

It’s one of the heaviest tracks ever recorded by Torch. It’s been said that if “Fight and Alice In Chains had a love child it would probably sound something like this”. It’s a song about the rise of criminal gangs in Torch’s native Sweden. The song deals with the promise of fame, fortune and brotherhood that almost always ends in betrayal and death or prison.

It follows ‘Trail Of The Damned’ that was the first Torch song with the new singer Lasse Gudmundsson, who joins Chris J First and Hockey Nystrom (Guitars), Ian Greg (Bass) and new drummer Pat Stix.

‘Trail Of The Damned’ is about the current state of the world and the fact that we never seem to learn from the mistakes of the past.

The song is one of the last recordings with drummer Steve Streaker (R.I.P.) and was released in his honour.
