Tyketto Rise with New Single, Album & UK Tour

We Rise‘ the latest single from Tyketto, is less a bravado statement of intent and more a reality of the facts. “What’s happening at the moment is that things are growing,” front man and founding member Danny Vaughn confirmed. “People are realising we’re not a nostalgia act, you know, that there’s new stuff, that is fresh and vital.”

Discussing the single itself, Vaughn said: “In the spirit of Don’t Come Easy we set out to create a couple of real arena rock anthems and ‘We Rise‘ is definitely one of those. It also marked the first real collaborative effort within the band for this album. Harry brought in the guitar riff and the chorus. Chris and I fleshed out the arrangement and the lyrics and before you know it, magic happened! It’s a simple message; when you get knocked down, keep getting back up!”

If classic arena rock is your thing, ‘We Rise‘ is the second single taken from their sixth studio album Closer To The Sun, due 20th March via Silver Lining Music.

Throughout Closer To The Sun, listeners will discover songs about true life loves, losses and pleasures.

The full track listing for Closer To The Sun is: ‘Higher Than High‘, ‘Starts With A Feeling‘, ‘Bad for Good‘, ‘We Rise‘, ‘Donnowhuddidis‘, ‘Closer To The Sun‘, ‘Harleys & Indians (Riders in the Sky)‘*, ‘Hit Me Where It Hurts‘, ‘The Picture‘, ‘Far And Away‘, and ‘The Brave‘. (*Not included on vinyl formats).

Closer To The Sun was recorded across multiple studios in the UK and Europe, including Flip Flop Studios and the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales.

The band features Danny Vaughn (Vocals), Harry Scott Elliott (Guitar), Ged Rylands (Keyboards), Chris Childs (Bass) and Johnny Dee (Drums). They have signed with British rock specialist label Silver Lining Music, home to the likes of Europe, Uriah Heep, Saxon, Michael Monroe, Soen and Diamond Head, among others.

With vocalist and founding member Danny Vaughn at the helm, Tyketto continue to create and craft the type of powerful, anthemic songs that saw the band burst through the hard rock landscape in 1987. They released their debut album, Don’t Come Easy, through Geffen Records in 1989. Since that landmark debut, Tyketto has released a further four studio albums and toured internationally to a loyal and dedicated fan base.

“I was pleasantly shocked when Danny and the band put pen to paper,” said Silver Lining label owner Thomas Jensen. “We’re talking about a really wonderful band in terms of sheer songwriting quality and live delivery, and if I’m honest, one which probably didn’t get the credit it deserves. We’re all glad to be part of a team determined to shift that needle!”

“Many years of hard work ground to a complete halt when covid first hit us all,” said Vaughn, “and it was really touch and go as to whether or not Tyketto would continue. Since our return in 2023, the band has been on a steady upward trajectory, with more fans coming out to see and support us than ever before.”

“This fantastic upward rise has now culminated in our signing a brand new record deal with Silver Lining Music, who have already shown, not only love and support for us, but also a real understanding for our personal relationship with our fans. The end result of all of this is an album that Tyketto fans are going to absolutely fall in love with. For Tyketto, these are the best of times!”

In support of the album’s release, Tyketto has already announced a string of dates for 2026. They kick off at Planet Rock’s Winter’s End festival in Porthcawl, Wales over the festival weekend, 29th January to 1st February. A full UK Tour is set for the spring, with European shows to be revealed soon. The band then returns to Wales for the Steelhouse Festival in Aberbeeg from 24th July to 26th July.

Directed and edited by Scott Wardell and filmed by Paul Hollingsworth at Base Studios 1 in Stourbridge, you can check out the video for ‘We Rise‘ here at RAMzine.
