Nordic metallers Týr have released details on their new album.
A title and artwork are yet to be announced, however vocalist and guitarist, Heri Joensen, revealed some of the themes expected to be explored on the album:
“Earthly women, valkyries and goddesses. It touches on subjects from nordic mythology such as the quest for fame, death in battle and valhalla.”
Týr have also unveiled two song titles, Mare Of My Night and Come My Valkyrie, as well as revealing they will be entering the studio with long-time producer Jacob Hansen who has worked with the likes of Volbeat, Aborted and Mercenary in the past and has featured on the bands past four releases.
Týr will enter the studio to record their seventh studio album after finishing their current US tour as part of Pagenfest 2013 with Ensiferum, Heidevolk, Trollfest and Helsott. Their most recent release, The Lay of Thrym is available now.
