UNITYTX Drop ‘Enjoy Tha Show’ & Announce Album

Dallas metal/hip hop fusionists UNITYTX are done playing by anyone else’s rules.

The band have announced their sophomore album Somewhere, In Between, dropping March 13th via Pure Noise Records. It marks their first full-length since 2023’s Ferality, and have just dropped new single ‘Enjoy Tha Show’.

LET’S GOOO! This track has that kind of energy, you know? It’s cool, it’s slick, it’s power. And I’m loving the very last word in this track, so now you’ve got to listen all the way through to see what it is. Let me know in the comments.

Frontman Jay Webster (aka SHAOLIN G) pulls no punches about what inspired the track. The song explores the pain of feeling ethnically out of place and the exhausting expectation to just perform through the noise. After years of trying to ignore critics, Webster shifted his approach to simply enjoying the experience rather than fighting against it.

“Unknowingly, I built my life around catering to critics,” Webster explains, “only to realise that the audience often reacts negatively when you stray from their expectations. This goes beyond music; our society often limits opportunities for those daring to be themselves.”

Across 14 tracks, the album is about both discontent and determination, serving as a rallying cry to break free from industry constraints while staying true to their original vision. Webster admits the band had to start playing by industry rules when they went professional, and this record is their way of returning to who UNITYTX were before the compromises.

“This album is what UNITYTX used to be before we got picked up,” he says. “We’re trying to evolve both as a band and as people.”

They hit the road supporting Varials on a full US run this spring, kicking off March 12th in Detroit with stops in Chicago, Denver, Anaheim, Dallas, Atlanta, Baltimore, Brooklyn and more.
