Irish Extreme Metallers Vile Regression have just released their new album ‘Empires’ which you can listen to in full below! Formed in 2010, Vile Regression includes memebers of other extreme metal legends Visitor Q.
The band commented on the album: “We feel, ‘Empires’ is a very powerful word, invoking strength and confidence. The title came from the overarching theme within the lyrics, that being positivity and empowerment in ones life.”
“While ‘The Pattern Evolves’ [their debut album] dealt with very specific themes of corruption and governments, ‘Empires’ is much more positive. Lyrically the songs deal with different aspects of human emotions such as reaching your potential in life and being the master of your own empire. Songs such as ‘Raze The Complexity’ and ‘The Abstract’ are basically about being confident in yourself and purging the toxic and harmful elements around you.”
