Las Vegas alternative rock act Wicked Garden has released their new video for ‘Already Gone’, taken from their new Post Dystopian Leisure Music album.
“The video is a throwback to the days when people would discover new music at their local record shops,” frontman Dominick Muzio states. “The young woman hears the new album on the listening station in the store and stumbled upon the band recording in the back. Instead of downloading the record she takes the promo copy and dashed out of the store. It’s a vague statement of the theft of music being wrong, yet the main goal is for people to hear your music.”
Post Dystopian Leisure Music itself is a collection of songs inspired by the band’s love of alternative rock.
Formed in 2011 by guitarist Shawn Trojahn simply as an outlet to play some of the favuorite tunes of the 90s, Wicked Garden solidified in 2016 and the quartet began drawing crowds quickly and steadily, racking up three consecutive Best Cover Band awards from Las Vegas Weekly and headlining slots at the cities hottest clubs. Then in 2017 they started producing their own material.
The band holed up in National Southwestern Recording with engineer and producer Ron Corso putting the pieces together for what would eventually become their Shock Records debut album. “Dominick and I were having some beers and trying to come up with a name. As a goof he started mock interviewing me and I was using a terrible British accent. He asked, ‘How would you describe your style of music?” and I said, ‘It’s post dystopian leisure music’ and he just said, ‘That’s the title!’” said Trojahn.
