Celldweller Gets in God Mode for Fakebreaker with Swarm & Reebz

‘Fakebreaker’ is the first new vocal single from Celldweller’s recently completed Detroit studio, and from the upcoming gaming-inspired EP, God Mode –  An apocalyptic assault forged alongside dark bass powerhouse Swarm and UK electronic-metal artist/vocalist Reebz.

Accompanied with an adrenaline fuelled music video, delivering chaos, intensity, and merciless energy, the single is out now across all platforms from FiXT.

The single opens with tense, cinematic synths before erupting into a powerful blend of industrial metal riffs, heavy midtempo drops, and driving electronic bass. Dark atmospheres collide with fierce vocals, crushing drums, and cybernetic textures, creating a high-energy immersive soundscape.

The music video plunges viewers into a dark, ominous cyberpunk world, playing out like a side-scroller featuring Klayton (Celldweller) and Reebz navigating a high-stakes, video game-inspired dystopia. The project marks Celldweller’s first live-action music video in over eight years. Its intense, cinematic visuals amplify the track’s sense of chaos and rebellion, making the full experience both audibly and visually destructive.

“A 303 acid bassline and a breakbeat. This was a demo for my project FreqGen, and from these humble beginnings while simultaneously completing the build of my new studio,” said Celldweller. “’Fakebreaker’ developed into a monster. During the process I hit up my friend Reebz to see if she wanted to throw vocals over the FreqGen demo, and when I got them back knew instantly it needed to become a full blown Celldweller track. Being a Swarm fan, he instantly came to mind when thinking about how to make this track even bigger and better. The combination of the three of us was the perfect storm to bring this track to God Mode level.”

“I love Celldweller, and I love video games. When I was asked to work on a song that had both in common, it was the quickest ‘yes’ that has ever left my lips,” said Swarm. “It turned out to be such a cool fusion of retro-tinged electronic music & heavy rock, and Reebz’ vocals gave it such a fresh feel. I had such a blast making it with such talented people!”

Both Celldweller and Swarm have always been great inspirations to me musically, and I was so excited to collaborate with them on our new song ‘Fakebreaker’!” said Reebz, “It was so much fun getting to record a range of both heavy and melodic vocals to add to the awesome high-energy vibe of the track. I was absolutely stoked with how it all turned out!”
