If there’s one thing RAMzine prides itself on, it’s our honesty in reviews! Unfortunately, this time, we were at the mercy of Northern Rail. The numerous delays prevented our reviewer from making it to the show, leaving them utterly devastated. Thankfully, our photographer managed to attend and captured some wonderful shots for you to enjoy below.
But, what can we say about Jane’s Addiction?
The band made their long-awaited return to the UK and Europe, marking their first headlining tour in over eight years. Founded in 1985, Jane’s Addiction are a globally celebrated and beloved American rock band from Los Angeles, featuring vocalist Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Eric Avery. They are hailed as pioneers of the 1990s alternative music explosion. More specifically, Jane’s Addiction stands out as one of the last monumental classic rock bands.
In recent times, Jane’s Addiction might be most recognised for providing the glitzy theme song for HBO’s ‘Entourage.’ However, during their prime, they epitomised a unique brand of California cool. Jane’s Addiction were at times influenced by psychedelic rock, The Doors and Led Zeppelin.
Although we missed their show this time around, we’re certain they delivered an unparalleled performance. We may never witness another band like them again in our lifetimes. Yet we remain hopeful that they’ll grace us with appearances at festivals or embark on another tour someday!
