If furiously fast Thrash is your thing then this is the album for you. Sweden’s My Regime are not letting go of the assault they created on the last album and this seems to give the feel it is a continuation of Dogmas just with more pumped up body crushing riffs. Deranged Patterns has more than a foot in the past with huge influence coming from the 80’s style of hard paced thrash with wall to wall amps in your face. The speed and precision of the shredding and riff’s are matched in power and vocal ability from front man Spice who you may know from Spiritual Beggars.
This album could easily stand the test of time whilst standing up against some of their forefathers of latter years, but it could also be the start of a new rampage of Thrash acts dropping an album this year so if this is your thing there are lots of new coming your way.
Some of the standout tracks are ‘I Am’ with its pounding solid drums and the middle solo is mind blowing. Also, ‘The Smiling Dog’ is just a thunderous joy to have pummel my ears with a riff that just get stuck in your head for sooo long.
