Andromida Conquer

Metal djent artist Andromida‘s new single ‘Conquer’ featuring Fight The Fade out now.

Andromida is a one-man metal project by composer and producer, Ramon Gutierrez. Diagnosed as legally blind at a young age, Ramon naturally felt a strong connection with music. At the age of three, he began learning the violin. While learning the violin, it quickly became apparent that he was unable to read sheet music provided by his teachers, but that didn’t stop him. He went on to learn the instrument by ear, eventually playing pieces by composers like Bach at a very young age. At the age of 11, he decided to take on the guitar. Just like the violin, he learned completely by ear, only this time he did not have any help from teachers.

Eventually he became fascinated with the idea of writing and producing music. He spent hours upon hours, days upon days, teaching himself how to arrange songs, produce, and mix and master his own music in his late high school years. During his time in college, he began taking steps to start pursuing music professionally.  After trying and failing several times to form a band, he eventually decided to take on the endeavour by himself, thus starting Andromida in 2016.

Since 2016, Andromida‘s music has reached over 2,000,000 listeners on Spotify as well as amassing over 50,000 social media followers, including 20,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel. He has now signed with FiXT.

“Labels have always been something I’ve been sceptical of as an independent musician. I’ve heard the horror stories of all the bad deals floating out there in the industry. I knew that if I was ever going to sign with a label, it needed to be a label that truly put their artists first. FiXT is exactly that. I’m excited to be part of the FiXT family and look forward to our future endeavours,” said Gutierrez.

The signing kicks off with a brutal rock single ‘Conquer’ with an aggressive vocal performance from Fight The Fade front man Zene Smith, coupled with provocative lyrics Andromida pushes the dial to one hundred. The track encompasses both brutal and ethereal elements, pushing heavy guitars with syncopated synthesizers.

“I’m always heavily inspired by epic soundtracks and crazy synths, so I really wanted to make a song that pulled from those inspirations while still being a very hooky and catchy song,” explained Andromida. “The end result is something that I think is super unique but still feels familiar. It’s no doubt a catchy metal/rock song, but there are some really unconventional uses of synths here. Several of the guitar riffs actually have synths running through guitar amps replacing certain notes of what was originally written with guitars, giving certain riffs a really cold and robotic feel to them which I think adds so much to the song.”
