Finnish heavy metal band Arion release their third album, Vultures Die Alone, on 19th April 9th, 2021 through AFM Records international, with a homegrown release through Ranka Kustannus and on Marquee/Avalon in Japan.
In December, they launched ‘Bloodline’ from the album as a single featuring a guest appearance by Battle Beats vocalist Noora Louhimo, who Arion had been special guest for on their 2019 European tour. They followed that in January with second single ‘Out Of My Life’.
Now Arion, featuring Lassi Vääränen (Vocals), Iivo Kaipainen (Guitars), Arttu Vauhkonen (Keyboards), Gege Velinov (Bass) and Topias Kupiainen (Drums), follow those releases with ‘I Love To Be Your Enemy’; possibly the band’s heaviest song released to date.
You can catch the videos to all three singles singles right here at RAMzine.
After skyrocketing out of nowhere to the public eye as teenagers with the Finnish Eurovision qualification program UMK and their impressive debut EP and subsequent 2014 album Last Of Us, Finnish melodic metal stalwarts Arion took their operation to next level with the internationally released sophomore long player Life Is Not Beautiful in 2018, alongside its singles including the Spotify hit ‘At the Break of Dawn’ (featuring Elize Ryd of Amaranthe fame).
This, and a string of live performances in places like Helsinki’s prestigious Tuska Open Air Metal Festival and Japan’s legendary Loud Park festival have proved Arion has what it takes to be an international powerhouse in melodic metal.
Vultures Die Alone follows previous album Life Is Not Beautiful for the young band. It was produced by Matias Kupiainen (Stratovarius) with Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood (Periphery) in the role of mixing engineer.
Tracks featured are ‘Out Of My Life’, ‘Break My Chains’, ‘Bloodline’ (Featuring Noora Louhimo), ‘I’m Here To Save You’, ‘In The Name Of Love’ (Featuring Cyan Kicks), ‘A Vulture Dies Alone’, ‘I Love To Be Your Enemy’, ‘Where The Ocean Greets The Sky’, ‘I Don’t Fear You’, and ‘Until Eternity Ends’. The album features artwork by Dark Side of Zen.
