Vikings Rise with Astral Doors

Five years after the chart success that was Worship Or Die, Swedish metal act Astral Doors returns with a brand new studio album on 18th October via Metalville Records.

The album will be titled The End Of It All, as a reflection on what the world is like today and also to somehow say that this might be the last album in Astral Doors‘ career.

Out today is the band’s latest single ‘Vikings Rise’, that shows Astral Doors returning to their heavier roots.

The song tells the story of the Vikings. The sound is correspondingly heavy and powerful, but at the same time unfolds an almost epic chorus.

Available digitally, you can check out the video here at RAMzine.

Founded in Borlänge, Sweden, back in 2003, the band has released nine albums released so far, and Nils Patrik Johansson (Lead and background vocals), Ulf Lagerström (Bass), Jocke Roberg (Keyboards), Johan Lindstedt (drums) and Mats Gesar and Joachim Nordlund (Guitars), were keen to record a tenth, their anniversary album.

The recording of The End Of It All took place once again in Borlänge, with lyrics and vocal melodies by Johansson’s lyrics and vocal melodies and music by Lindstedt and Nordlund prove.

Previously, ‘Temple Of Lies’ was released as a single and it’s apparently one of the fastest tracks on the new album, so should make the hearts of all fans of honest heavy metal beat faster. On ‘Temple Of Lies’, the full size and power of the Swedish metal band unfolds. The song is said to be “one of the band’s best songs ever. Outstanding musical ability combined with great vocals and expressive lyrics”.

Check out the video here at RAMzine, the single’s available digitally.

Tracks featured on the new album are ‘Temple Of Lies’, ‘Iron Dome’, ‘Vikings Rise’, ‘Heaven’s Gate’, ‘Masters Of The Sky’, ‘The End Of It All’, ‘Father Evil’, ‘When The Clock Strikes Midnight’, ‘A Night In Berlin’ and ‘A Game Of Terror’.
