ATLAS have returned with ‘Coven of Two’, the latest single from their forthcoming third album Sunder, due 20th February 2026. And if this track is anything to go by, the Finnish five piece are about to deliver something special.
There is an immense heaviness to this new track that gives you that little smirk of approval when it fills your ears. ‘Coven of Two’ walks the razor thin line between love and surrender, where devotion demands everything you’ve got. It’s the sound of frozen Finnish winters carved into towering riffs and glacial atmospheres, raw power meeting aching warmth in equal measure.
Sunder distills the band’s core belief that love conquers death into a work of haunting atmosphere and crushing rhythm. ATLAS have always blended ancient echoes and Northern mysticism with a contemporary edge, but mixed and mastered by Buster Odeholm (Silent Planet, Vildhjarta, Born Of Osiris, Thrown), this album extends their sonic bridge between old and new.
Known as messengers of melancholy, ATLAS forge a uniquely Northern strain of modern metal where emotion meets cinematic scale. Earlier singles ‘Anodyne’, ‘Salt and Sulfur’ and ‘I Whisper Your Name Like a Curse’ have already paved the way.
The band are joining Amorphis across Finland this winter before heading to North America with Orbit Culture in early 2026. They’ll cap it off with a homecoming headline show at Helsinki’s On The Rocks on 23rd May 2026.
Sunder will be available as Ice Blue Transparent Vinyl and Digipack CD. ‘Coven of Two’ is out now on all platforms.
