Baby Godzilla change name to ‘Heck’

The Nottingham hardcore mob formerly known as ‘Baby Godzilla’ will now be known as ‘Heck’ due to legal implications.

The reason behind the change is due to the band, now known as Heck, being threatened by the trademark owners of the character ‘Godzilla’ and the name being used on band merchandise.

The band said in a statement:

This may seem abrupt but following some fairly conclusive and forceful instructions it is time we instigated a change. We; the collective of Matt Reynolds, Jonny Hall, Tom Marsh and Paul Shelley, will from now on and henceforth be known as HECK”

HECK will be releasing a new album this Autumn and playing a series of live dates:

July

10 Bridwater Tiki Bar
11 Shepton Mallet NASS Festival, Shepton Mallet
17 Steventon TRUCK Festival
25 Sheffield Tramlines Festival
26 Belgium The Charlatan

August

14 Kent Hevy Fest
15 Hurstbourne Tarrant Light The Fuse

September

12 Hampshire Butserfest

October

3 Belgium Play Fest
