Bowled Over.
It’s been over three years since we last heard from Texan pop-rockers Bowling For Soup but, on October 14th, the quartet quietly dropped their new album ‘Drunk Dynasty’.
The eleventh studio album from Bowling For Soup is a crowd-funded project that obliterated its PledgeMusic target in a mere nine days due to excited fans’ generous donations. It seems to have been a good investment too as ‘Drunk Dynasty’, which started as an EP, was released as a whopping eleven-track pop punk prize of an album, including infectious first single ‘Hey Diane’ (below) and the hilariously blunt follow up ‘Don’t Be A Dick’ to an unsuspecting army of pledgers.
Frontman Jared Reddick explains why BFS decided to surprise their fans:
“Everything in this industry just keeps getting more and more fast paced. The days of taking months to “set up” a release are a thing of the past! I never liked that build up anyway! This album was crowd funded, so, we surprised our supporters first and then just said ‘eff it’…The world needs this NOW!!”
Drunk Dynasty is available on all digital platforms NOW! Physical release due on 11th November.
