Boys From Heaven wanna Hold Your Heart

Out on 22nd May, Boys From Heaven‘s third studio album ‘The Wanderer’ through Frontiers Music Srl, but before that is the Danish AOR outfit’s latest single ‘Hold Your Heart’, along with an official video you can check out here at RAMzine.

“Every great rock album needs a grand ballad,” said the band. “‘Hold Your Heart’ is the hopeful melancholic flipside to our previous single. Where ‘How Long’ was a tale of regret, ‘Hold Your Heart’ is the hopeful story of a hopeless romantic, the longingly naive inner monologue of a dreamer. And if the saxophone fade-out towards the end doesn’t immediately transport you to a simpler, more carefree time, then we don’t know what will!”

The first single Boys From Heaven brought out ahead of ‘The Wanderer’ was ‘I’ll Wait’ and you’d assume the band had something of a theme going on with the aforementioned follow-up ‘How Long’, and so they explained: “‘How Long’ represents a personal tale of love and loss. At its core, it’s a story about putting your faith in someone who ultimately lets you down. If memory serves, it’s the second song we wrote for ‘The Wanderer’ (‘I’ll Wait’ being the first).

“Like predecessor ‘I’ll Wait’, the tone of ‘How Long’ is a tad more serious and heavier compared to a few other tracks on the upcoming album. Toto‘s ‘Isolation’ and ‘The Seventh One’ have undoubtedly served as sources of inspiration.”

Featuring Chris Catton (lead vocals), Jonas Klintström Larsen (saxophone), Mads Noyé (keyboards), Mads Schaumann (guitar and backing vocals) and Søren Viig Mathiesen (drums), Catton handled production duties while it was mixed and mastered by Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse, W.E.T). Lucas Szczyrbak guests on bass and Michael Catton on background vocals.

“Recording the last record ourselves and having Erik Mårtensson take care of mixing and mastering was a winning combination, so we had no doubt that we wanted to do the same thing with ‘The Wanderer’,” the band explained.

“With the new album we’ve leaned even harder into that 1980s synthesiser driven power rock sound, and our fans can definitely look forward to an album which is high energy right from the first chord struck, all the way to when the last note has rung out. We can’t wait to share it with you all!”

Tracks featured on ‘The Wanderer’ are: ‘I’ll Wait’, ‘Hotline’, ‘Hold Your Heart’, ‘Street Life’, ‘Say Goodbye’, ‘How Long’, ‘Eileen’, ‘I Will Never Let You Down’, ‘Time Is On Our Side’ and ‘Till The Bitter End’.
