Following their recent free livestream concert, critically acclaimed Southern soul and roots rock band Bywater Call have announced that Welsh vocalist Laura Evans will be the special guest on their January and February 2027 UK tour.
It has proved a standout year for Laura Evans, whose album releases have now passed 2 million Spotify streams. Effortlessly blending blues, rock and soul, the singer-songwriter has graced the cover of the Nu Blue playlist and receives continued support from Cerys Matthews at BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Wales.
2024 and 2025 saw a busy touring schedule, with sell-out shows on Evans‘ own UK tour followed by an 11-date European tour across the Netherlands, Germany and France.
Renowned for transcending genre boundaries, Bywater Call have earned an international reputation for emotionally charged live performances and have been gaining attention on UK shores. They are celebrating their third consecutive nomination for International Act of the Year at the UK Blues Awards.
Featuring Meghan Parnell (lead vocals), Dave Barnes (guitar), Bruce McCarthy (drums and percussion), Mike Meusel (bass), Andrew Moljgun (keyboards), Stephen Dyte (trumpet and valve trombone) and Julian Nalli (saxophone), groundbreaking band Bywater Call continue to redefine expectations of what a modern roots band can be.
On Friday 9th October, the band played Live From Market Hall in Peterborough, Ontario. This was a free livestream in partnership with Volume.com, where the band performed songs from their Broken Souvenirs album.
Volume.com is a music-focused, artist-first livestreaming and broadcasting platform designed to connect creators, music venues and fans through live and on-demand experiences. It features artists such as Gov’t Mule, Los Lonely Boys, Leftover Salmon, Lettuce and The Revivalists, and this was its first collaboration with Bywater Call.
The concert will remain available for six months after the broadcast, so fans can stream the entire show on demand.
Tickets for Bywater Call‘s UK tour are available from The Gig Cartel and from the websites of both Bywater Call and Laura Evans.
