Carcass have announced ‘The Complete Edition’ of their most recent album ‘Surgical Steel‘.
Back in 2013 RAMzine reviewed the album saying: In essence what Carcass have done is taken everything from their best work through the 90’s, managed to mould it into something that’s arguably better than the sum of it’s parts. This album is undoubtedly a death metal album but with everything that’s been added it has the feel of a heavy metal album that most metalheads would enjoy.
The album has certainly stood through the reviews, and once released gained top 50 chart positions in 5 countries, including the UK. Read our full review here.
‘The Complete Edition’ includes ‘Surgical Steel’, packaged with the entire ‘Surgical Remission / Surplus Steel’ EP. It will be available on CD and digitally on October 30th & on vinyl November 20th via Nuclear Blast.

October 23rd will see Carcass kick-off their UK tour! Jeff Walker (front man) told us: “Off the back of touring the U.S. with OBITUARY and Australia and New Zealand with NAPALM DEATH we thought it would be cool to combine both tours into something special… and given that NAPALM DEATH had just toured the US with VOIVOD why not invite them also along for the ride? CARCASS has wanted to do a Euro Tour for a while now, we’ve been looking for the perfect opportunity and this is IT! Save your pennies for the heaviest tour of the fall and see it LIVE before it gets uploaded to YouTube on low quality camera phones!!!!!!”
