Corey Taylor to appear on Doctor Who

The Slipknot and Stone Sour front-man has sometimes been compared to a Dalek vocally, and now Corey Taylor has been reported to provide his voice for a space-monster in the TV show Doctor Who.

As reported by The Mirror, Taylor will play alien war lord The King Fisher. Corey himself is a big Who fan (or ‘Whovian’) and was contacted by producers when they heard Slipknot were playing Cardiff in January.

The King Fisher appears on Doctor Who next Saturday, played physically by basketball player Neil Fingleton, with speaking voice by Guardians Of The Galaxy star Peter Serafenowicz.

The news was later confirmed by Taylor on his fan page when he posted the article accompanied by the words: “You have no idea how hard it’s been to keep this secret”.
