Danish Actor Stig Rossen Guest on New Defecto Single

Copenhagen heavy metal band Defecto has a new single out featuring Danish actor and singer Stig Rossen.

Titled ‘Heart On Fire’, there’s an official video you can check out below, and the track itself is featured on their latest studio album, Echoes Of Isolation, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

‘Heart On Fire’ hits hard with a melodic, high energy edge,” said guitarist and vocalist Nicklas Sonne. “A song about fighting through the numbness, turning pressure into power, and keeping the fire alive even when it’s burning low.”

Also featuring guitarist Frederik Møller and bassist Thomas Bartholin, with Morten Gade Sørensen on drums, the band formed in 2011 and has become known for their combination of technical precision, melodic strength and emotional intensity.

Three studio albums, two EPs, and several festival appearances led to their latest album on the Frontiers Records label. Echoes Of Isolation is a concept album exploring the haunting landscape of mental illness and psychological struggles. Each song inhabits a different psychological struggle, from insomnia and schizophrenia to OCD, PTSD, paranoia, dissociation and trauma, giving voice to the war within.

“This isn’t just a metal album. It’s a mirror held to the mind,” said Sonne. “For us, it’s about turning pain into power, and creating something that can connect deeply with anyone who has ever felt broken, isolated, or misunderstood.”
