Rock band Harpyie are about to bid the recording world auf Wiedersehen, with 11th December being the release date of what’s planned as their farewell album, Nach Uns Die Sintflut, on the Metalville label.
Sixteen years down the road, nine studio album releases, with hundreds of concert performances under their collective belt, reinventing themselves along the way by incorporating nu-metal sounds, pop elements and modern sound elements, Nach Uns Die Sintflut is intended as a thank you to the people who made their journey possible: to their crew, their companions and their fans.
The album itself was inspired by Homer’s The Odyssey, for Nach Uns Die Sintflut tells the story of arriving after years full of new beginnings, storms and unforgettable moments. It is about friendship, growing older, letting go and the realisation that every journey finds its rightful harbour. The anchor cross that accompanies the album symbolises hope, gratitude and the peace that follows the storm.
