Phil Campbell spent 32 years shredding alongside Lemmy in Motörhead. He’s not stopping now.
The former Motörhead guitarist spent 32 years perfecting his craft alongside Lemmy, but this isn’t some nostalgia trip. What started as a side project has evolved into something fiercer. At Wacken Open Air 2016, Campbell unveiled the band’s new identity alongside his sons Todd, Tyla and Dane.
By 2017, they’d already scored a support slot on Guns N’ Roses‘ summer stadium run. Not bad for a band barely a year old. Their setlist weaves Motörhead covers with originals that crackle with the same raw swagger, proving the Campbell bloodline runs thick with rock and roll DNA.
They’re bringing that energy to HMV Empire for Hella Rock Festival 2026 in Coventry on Saturday 5 September 2026, joined by Tailgunner and King Kraken. K.K. Downing himself praised Tailgunner as embodying “everything that is heavy metal,” citing influences from Maiden to Priest to Motörhead.
