Louisiana experimental group Iwrestledabearonce have confirmed they are back in the studio and currently recording their third full length album.
The album will be the first to feature new frontwoman Courtney LaPlante who joined the band mid-way through Warped Tour 2012. Courtney has commented:
“Since the day I joined this band, I’ve been anticipating this album! I was pushed to the limit creatively and technically, and I’ve never been more proud of myself or my bandmates. We’ve been through alot this year, and this is the pay-off; the result of our experiences. Most importantly, I think IWABO fans both old and new will really enjoy these songs, and we can’t wait to play them live for you this summer!”
Iwrestledabearonce have also stated they are approaching this album with a ‘new focus’ in an attempt to surprise fans and‘re-define’ who they are as a band.
Guitarist for the band but also producer for the album Steven Bradley commented:
“The heavy parts are heavier and more interesting, the choruses are stronger, and the “weird twists” that people have come to expect in our music are way more thought-out than in the past and definitely hit harder than ever. Long story short – we’re very excited about getting this album finished and released, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.”
