JAYLER: Debut Album, Deep Purple Tour & New Single

Led Zeppelin, eat your heart out. I think I just stepped into the 70s, baby!

JAYLER are one of those bands that make you believe rock and roll never left. It just went underground for a while, waiting for someone with enough fire in their belly to drag it back into the light. With the announcement of their debut album Voices Unheard, due May 29th via Silver Lining Music, that fire is well and truly lit.

The four piece from the Midlands, fronted by James Bartholomew on vocals and guitar alongside Tyler Arrowsmith (guitar), Ed Evans (drums) and Ricky Hodgkiss (bass/keys), have been building their reputation the old fashioned way: on stage, night after night, winning over crowds with sheer volume and conviction. There’s a swagger here that nods to the golden age of British rock, think Led Zeppelin and Queen.

New single ‘Down Below’ is a dust-kicking rock stomper that crackles from the very first beat, all swaggering guitars, pounding drums and a groove that demands you move. The band recorded it as the first track in the studio sessions at Vada Studios, and by their own admission, the raw end of record energy just took over. They hadn’t planned to film anything, but the vibe was too real not to capture, and the video is exactly that: the band, in the moment, no filter.

A limited white label 7 inch of ‘Down Below’ sold out all 500 hand numbered, band signed copies before release. That’s the kind of grassroots demand that money can’t manufacture.

2026 is shaping up to be massive for JAYLER. Their live schedule spans continents, including dates in Brazil, a slot at 2000trees in Cheltenham, shows as special guests to Sammy Hagar across UK arenas in July, and an enormous European run supporting Deep Purple through the autumn, culminating in a one night only show at the Royal Albert Hall. In store signing sessions to celebrate the album release are also being planned.

Voices Unheard will be available on CD, 12″ vinyl and digital formats. Produced by George Perks, the album features eleven tracks including ‘Riverboat Queen’, ‘The Getaway’, ‘Bittersweet’ and ‘Alectrona’.
