French heavy rock band Last Temptation has unleashed a new single, ‘Get On Me’, out now from Golden Robot Records.
‘Get On Me’ marks what’s been described as “a thrilling new chapter” for Last Temptation, as the band unveils a reinvigorated line-up and a return to the roots of hard rock. Drawing inspiration from the iconic sounds of the 70s and 80s, Last Temptation aims to reignite the passion and excitement of rock ‘n’ roll with their signature blend of melodic vocals, thunderous basslines, and infectious riffs.
At the helm of the production for ‘Get On Me’ was Mike Fraser, renowned for his work with rock titans such as AC/DC and Van Halen, and the band prepares for a third album release due this September.
Last Temptation was founded by guitarist Peter Scheithauer (Killing Machine, Belladonna, Temple Of Brutality) In 2021, Last Temptation signed with Golden Robot Records to release their second album, Fuel For My Soul, in May 2022, that was “a darker, more stoner-oriented style,” according to Scheithauer. The band would proceed to open for bands such as The Scorpions, Ayron Jones, Black Label Society, Status Quo, as well as performing on the Mainstage at Hellfest in 2023.
Early 2023 marked a major turning point for the group with a lineup change. Drummer Fabio Alessandrini joined from Annihilator, Franz OA Wise (Hellbats) officially joined as bass player, having performed live with them and more recently Loup Malevil (Sabotage) became lead vocalist.
“The variety of musical styles we’re exploring now is broader than ever,” explained Scheithauer. “With Loup and Fabio joining us, we’ve found a new dynamic that translates into more festive tracks and catchy lyrics.”
The new lineup had a successful debut opening for The Hollywood Vampires at the Zénith in Paris on June 25, 2023, where the audience embraced and appreciated some of the new compositions and the stage quality of the newcomers. The band, more united than ever, is eager to present their new album on stage, with a release date set for 13th September.
“Our classic sound is still there, but with a touch of novelty. Imagine the current energy fused with the power of American hard rock from the 70s and 80s… That’s the new Last Temptation formula,” proclaimed the band’s founder and guitarist.
