Monsters Of Rock 1994 coverage footage has surfaced on YouTube and it is glorious – Road To Download 2020

Note: None of this footage has officially been uploaded by companies affiliated with Download Festival.

In this current age of self-isolation due to the recent pandemic – COVOID19- it leads one to search for home entertainment using online means. One thing that has surfaced is an upload of the MTV Headbanger’s Ball coverage of Monsters Of Rock 1994. For those who don’t know: Monsters Of Rock was the annual festival held between 1980 and 1996, the predecessor to Download Festival.

This is a video that lasts almost 2.5 hours and uploaded by a user named OldSchoolVHS. This not only great entertainment to pass the time if you are self-isolating, but will get you in the mood for this year’s Download Festival (fingers crossed it’s not canceled). Check out the link below:

This features performances from Aerosmith, Extreme, Pantera, Sepultura, Terrorvision, and more plus interviews with Bruce Dickinson, Glenn Hughes, Pitchshifter, and GUN – who weren’t even performing! At RAMzine we wish we had such opportunities at festivals.

If you check out this guy’s channel you will see they have uploaded other Monsters Of Rock festivals from the 1990s, so this may be your self-isolation binge-watching sorted.

As mentioned this gets us hyped for this year’s Download Festival which looks like it might be one of the most exciting line-ups of all time including headliners KISS, Iron Maiden, System Of A Down, as well other great bands such as Deftones, Korn, Alter Bridge, Gojira and many more. Click here for the news about onsite improvements.

Keep checking for the latest news on this year’s Download Festival, keep washing your hands. #RoadToDownload2020
