Paths Of Infinity with Earth Lux

French composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Steph Honde and Brazilian composer and drummer Fred Mika have formed a new band, going by the name Earth Lux, whose debut will be released by German record label, Metalville on 23rd August.

Ahead of that and out now is ‘Paths Of Infinity’, one of the catchiest songs on the album as a single and video that you can check out here at RAMzine.

Honde and Mika have previously worked together in the band Sunroad, but in early 2023, they decided to form a parallel band focussing on melodic hard rock, but also incorporating some 70s influences.

Shortly after songwriting began, Mika contacted his German friend, singer, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Michael Voss (Michael Schenker Group, Mad Max, Casanova) to take over the bass guitar for Earth Lux.

Affiliates and friends, such as the British musician and producer Steve Mann (Eloy, Lionheart, MSG), who lives in Germany, to play keyboards, and latterly Irish singer Robin McAuley (Grand Prix, Survivor, Black Swan and also MSG), making it quite the international band.

However, a short time later, McAuley – Having written only one of the Earth Lux album’s lyrics – was suddenly called to rejoin MSG, replacing Ronnie Romero, who decided to leave the group to pursue a solo career. To that end, Mika contacted another friend.

Thus, American composer, singer and bassist Mark Boals (Yngwie Malmsteen, Ring Of Fire, Uli Jon Roth)  came on board place Robin (who had even completed one of the album’s lyrics) to complete the band line-up halfway through last year.

Previously they brought out the single ‘Shine On Me’ that you can also check out the video for here at RAMzine.

Featuring album artwork created by British designer Tristan Greatrex (UFO, Lionheart, MSG etc) expect more news on the album’s release soon.
