The rather short and concise 3-track digital single, intriguingly titled In the Dying Rooms of London sees the deviant post-rockers / lo-fi ambient explorers known as Picture Ann carve a musical love letter to the grandeur and squalor of the great city of London.
As J.N. says, “In the Dying Rooms of London basically came out of my deep-seated passion and love for British crime stories – be they in the shape of books, TV series or films – and the rich history, splendid architecture, and pulsating atmosphere of the great city. The notion of remembrance and shared history also came into play, albeit in more subtle ways. There are also nods to the villainous characters that frequent the Sherlock Holmes legacy by Conan Doyle, so there you pretty much have it.”
