After a brief setback with his health, legendary guitarist Robin Trower has announced that he is feeling better than ever and excited fans with the announcement he will be back on tour in 2025 and issued a new official video.
The song featured is ‘The Razor’s Edge’, taken from his 2022 album No More Worlds To Conquer that was released on Provogue/Mascot Label Group. The video was captured live in 2024 in concert and includes a full length interview that is also bundled with the concert, and available for purchase here.
Talking about the song at the time it was originally released, Trower said it featured what he calls “some of my favorite guitar work I’ve played on a recording in a long time.” ‘The Razor’s Edge’ finds the guitarist shining a light on the failure of world leaders today. “’The Razor’s Edge’ and ‘Cloud Across The Sun’,” Trower commented, “those are definitely about my dissatisfaction with the politicians of the day – pointing the finger at the ones that don’t keep their promises.”
Few would dispute that the title of Robin Trower’s album – No More Worlds To Conquer – is a fair summary of the thumbprint he has left on the musical universe. But as he reminds us, it should not be misinterpreted as his mission being accomplished. “I definitely feel like I’m still reaching,” he considered. From the album he also released the videos for ‘Ball Of Fire‘ and ‘Birdsong‘.

Trower was thrilled to announce that he will be back to tour the UK in 2025. He will begin his UK tour on 14th May at the Opera House, Buxton, and then on to call through Glasgow (Oran Mor), Birmingham (Town Hall), Frome (Cheese & Grain)and finishing it at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 21st May.
Talking about the tour, Trower said: “I was so delighted with the response to my shows last year, hence recording them as a live video. Following a successful operation, I am delighted to be back playing shows in 2025, starting with the sold out Rock Legends Cruise from Miami in February, and UK dates in May!”
Fans can expect all the signature soul-stirring solos and hypnotic grooves that have made Trower a timeless icon. With a career spanning over five decades, hits like ‘Bridge Of Sighs’, ‘Too Rolling Stoned’, and ‘Day Of The Eagle’ will soar in full force as the guitarist takes you on a journey through his groundbreaking catalogue and up to his most recent releases ‘Joyful Sky’, ‘No More Worlds To Conquer’ and ‘Coming Closer To The Day’.
In 2023 he released his most recent album, the #1 Billboard Blues Album, Joyful Sky featuring New York singer-songwriter Sari Schorr, via Provogue/Mascot Label Group that you can listen to here. From the album he released the smouldering singles ‘Burn’, ‘I’ll Be Moving On’ and ‘The Distance’.
At the time he said, “I’ve worked with some great vocalists over the years, but Sari is dynamite, just an absolute knockout,” continuing, “This album really pushed me, made me write in different keys and arrange songs for her voice. I went more down the R&B route this time, because I knew she’d be great with that flavour. But the blues still underpins everything I do – and there’s definitely elements from my ’70s stuff in this new album.”
Earlier this year Trower released the Bridge )f Sighs – 50th Anniversary Edition on 2LP Deluxe Edition and 4-Disc Media Book – Newly mixed from the original tapes, with an unedited stereo mix cut at half-speed especially for the vinyl release.
For six decades, Robin Trower’s career has been an act of quiet rebellion. Rewind the reels of the British guitarist’s backstory and you’ll find an artist who has always rolled the dice rather than take the path of least resistance.
In the early ’70s, Trower announced his fearless streak by leaving the security of Procol Harum for a gold-selling solo career whose Bridge Of Sighs – album filled the stadiums of North America. Since then, he’s flowed from his own projects to collaborations with everyone from Jack Bruce to the United State Of Mind supergroup alongside Maxi Priest and Livingstone Brown.
