Slipknot’s Mick Thomson stabbed in the head by brother

Slipknot’s #7 and guitarist, Mick Thomson, was reported to be stabbed in the head by his younger brother, Andrew,  during a drunken fight.

Police were called to his home in Des Moines early on Wednesday morning. When they arrived they found Thomson with a stab wound at the back of his head.

Both Mick and Andrew were taken to two separate hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The brothers were released and neither were arrested and the police investigation continues.

According to local reports, the band’s manager says this will not stop Mick performing with Slipknot.

Slipknot vocalist, Corey Taylor, Tweeted:

“From What I’ve heard he’s ok. We’re sending him all your thoughts. Thank you for that”.

Slipknot are still scheduled to headline Download on Friday June 12th
