Alternative rock ensemble Slow Cinema’s single ‘Sizzler’ is out now on Bread & Butter Records.
“‘Sizzler’ is our heaviest song to date,” said the band. “Full of big fuzzed out guitar riffs mixed with a deep emotional melody. This track has proven to be a favourite in our live shows and gets the crowd moving whenever we play it. We are so proud and excited to have this track out in the world and we cannot wait for everyone to enjoy it!”
Slow Cinema fuse the dynamics of 90s alt-rock, the groove and rhythms of 70s artists, and the melodies of new millennium indie favourites.
After being mainstays of the local music scene in Newcastle, Australia for over a decade with their previous bands, they have played alongside Aussie favourites The Delta Riggs, The Preatures and Wolf & Cub. Buoyed by the successful release of their two singles ‘Howlin’’ and ‘Faye’s Fever Flow’, their sound continues to evolve and grow.
Slow Cinema’s music combines dreamy sonic soundscapes and sun-drenched melodies with blazing chorus’ to create an unforgettable, genre crossing experience. Ranging from hard-hitting riff based rock and roll to glimmering indie pop numbers, Slow Cinema create a varied and gripping live show that leaves the crowd wanting more, and an atmosphere that refuses to waiver.
‘Sizzler’ is the first track Slow Cinema will release with Bread & Butter Records and tackles the mental torment following a break up; the complex feelings of yearning for what once was and the anguish of knowing someone else can have what you no longer can.
Musically the track features intertwining guitars and bass creating an uncompromising theme while tearing down emotions with a melancholy chorus. The vocals are coupled with sinister doubles provoking an eerie atmosphere that blends with the disjointing guitar riffs. Hard hitting drums drive the song throughout and reticulate with the guitars and bass of the verse.
