Daedric’s Alchemy

Daedric starts 2023 with a bang, reuniting with acclaimed producer Joey Sturgis to drop a brutal alt-metal single ‘Alchemy‘.

Savage from the get-go ‘Alchemy’ wastes no time jumping in with industrial guitars laced over a ferocious but captivating vocal performance from frontwoman Kristyn Hope. Mixing screams with atmospheric vocals The single performs a delicate dance between ethereal and ominous, delicate and harsh. Drawing from a wide variety of genres including metalcore, electronic and industrial the single demonstrates Daedric’s versatility.

“The team was excited to experiment with more screams and gritty vocals on ‘Alchemy’. explained Daedric. “We really tested some vocal limits and that gave us some great moments during production.”

The new single is out now from here. It follows their dark industrial rock single ‘Coldharbour’ and you can check out the videos for both here at RAMzine.

‘Coldharbour’ takes the energy established with ‘Wretched’ and pulls the listener into a whole new cinematic realm,” stated Daedric. “The song further establishes Daedric as a multifaceted artist whose genre-bending sound and visual is a force to be reckoned with.”

The new single pushes into a more cinematic rock direction. Directed by Brittany Davis, the music video contrasts dark and light themes, with an enigmatic, black-robed wraith figure roaming a gloomy forest and an obscure face singing through folds of white fabric for an overall mysterious and mystical atmosphere.

Featuring sultry vocals from Kristyn Hope with provocative lyrics fused over synthesizers, pulsing drums, and heavy guitars, ‘Coldharbour’ is intended as an ethereal soundscape with an overall sombre but fierce atmosphere faceted with intensity till the last cold hard beat.

Mixed by heavily sought-after producer Joey Sturgis, known for his work with some of the biggest names in metalcore such as Of Mice & MenAsking Alexandria, and We Came As Romans, it was the band’s fifth single and out now from independent multi-genre label FiXT here.
