If you’re seeking ‘Pleasure And Pain’ sleaze metal act Smoking Snakes may have just what you want courtesy of their new single and video bearing that name, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.
The Swedish band featuring Brett Martin (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Andy Delarge (bass, backing vocals), Mackey Gee (drums, backing vocals) and Rob Raw (lead guitar, backing vocals) described the track as exploring the dangerous attraction between desire and obsession.
“That thin line where passion turns into something a little more twisted,” the band explained. ‘Pleasure And Pain’ plays with the idea that sometimes the things that thrill us the most can also be the ones that drive us insane.”
Formed in Gothenburg, Sweden back in 2022, two years later debut album Danger Zone earned them both Album of the Year and Debut Album of the Year at the Rocknytt Prize, standing alongside some of the country’s biggest rock acts. The following year saw them playing dates in the UK. Smoking Snakes are currently putting finishing touches on the band’s second album, with the new single offering a taste of what’s to come.
