The experimental Danish ambient/metal/rock collective that is PICTURE ANN refuses to go away and unearthed the relentlessly bleak digital EP named Idris and Isolation on April 16.
Containing a long and somewhat hypnotic (not to mention monotonous) piece that runs for nearly 16 minutes, Idris and Isolation is directly inspired by Mary Shelley’s apocalyptic and eerily timeless novel entitled The Last Man. With its haunting melodies and somber mood, the strange and silent beauty of PICTURE ANN’s latest release evokes a sense of boundless longing, ultimate solitude, tragic love, and a fierce desire for survival.
